Safeguards Secure Solutions records a significant history that dates back to more than 50 years since the 'Safeguards' company came into being. As a wholly local-run business, the company opened doors to foreign investment in 2002 when a merger with Securicor PLC, a security company listed in the London Stock Exchange was signed. Through this, Safeguards Securicor came into existence. Safeguards Group remained as the major shareholder, this time with global knowledge and local expertise. The company was then rebranded as Safeguards G4S after Securicor PLC merged with Group 4 Falck's security businesses to form Group 4 Securicor (G4S). In 2020, The Brink's Company, another leading global industry player listed in the New York Stock Exchange bought the G4S share. Safeguards Group remains as the major shareholder and today, the company is known as Safeguards secure Solutions. With the many milestones and unique history in its essence, Safeguards Secure Solutions continues to thrive by providing cash solutions services, manned security solutions and electronic security solutions through more than 7,000 employees nationwide. The company has 27 branches with cash processing facilities, 500 armoured vehicles and serves more than 8,000 self-service terminals with diverse customers from various industries all across Malaysia.

In 2008, Safeguards Group began its regional foray by acquiring a 100 percent stake of MPA International. MPA International was established in 1955 and was incorporated in 1995 as the first private security company and the largest security business in Cambodia, with over 1,500 security personnel in its fold. SAITO University College
Set up in 1988 by a Japanese visionary known as Tetsuo Saito, SAITO University College (SAITO) is the first design school in Malaysia. In the early days, SAITO was an academy with about 200 students enrolled. In 1997, Safeguards Group with its partners acquired SAITO. Safeguards CS Sdn Bhd (SCS) is one of the latest editions of Safeguards Group. The Company provides cash solutions that complement the banks' services, offering greater convenience to the general public. In June 2022, SCS obtained a license from Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Malaysia' Central infrastructure Provider) to connect to its Shared ATM Network and deploy the Safeguards Cash Recycler Machines (Safeguards CRM). The Safeguards CRM enables interbank cash withdrawals, interbank cash deposits, instant transfers, and balance inquiry transactions for customers of 20 banks in Malaysia. On 6 July 2023, SCS achieved a significant milestone by rolling out its first Safeguards CRM. Distinctively, Safeguards CRM is a one-stop machine that accepts cash deposits for real-time credit into any savings, current, loan and credit card account of these 20 banks. SCS aspires to deploy 500 Safeguards CRMs by June 2026, with 20 percent of these CRMs to be located within the unserved and under-served communities in West and East Malaysia.

SB Machines strives to continuously serve its clients efficiently with new offerings and service packages.
